Mikel has missed his Chinese club's last three games due to injury.
Mikel Obi has not featured for his Chinese club, Tianjin TEDA, in their last three games due to an alleged abdominal strain.
The Super Eagles skipper recently had a successful surgery in London and will be going into rehab soon.
‘Can’t wait to be back,’ he wrote. ‘Shame I can’t be on the pitch fighting with my team.’
His former Chelsea teammates, John Terry and Radamel Falcao have both shown support for the midfielder.
First was Terry who called him an ‘old man’ along with a laughing emoji, and then Falcao who said, ‘Wishing a good recovery Obi.’
Mikel Obi joined Tianjin in January, in a deal that will see him earn about N70m weekly.
The club is presently 10th in Chinese Super League.
