DIY: 3 Homemade Fruit Face Masks for Glowing Skin

T he ideal healthy, soft, youthful and glowing skin can created in no time by applying simple homemade fruit masks. Here are some natural facial packs that help to make the skin radiant and flawless.

1. BANANA, HONEY AND LEMON FACE MASK

The potent antioxidants in ripe banana help to eliminate patchiness, tanning, and marks from the skin. It cleanses, nourishes, hydrates and revitalises the skin. Honey is a natural humectant and antimicrobial agent that helps to retain the essential moisture in the skin and eliminate skin infections respectively. Lemon is a natural astringent and cleanser. This face mask thus aids in creating clean, soft and glowing skin effectively.

Procedure

Mash some a ripe banana properly and add a tsp honey a few drops of lemon to it. Mix well and apply this mixture well over the face and neck. Let it stay for 15 to 20 minutes and then finally wash  it away with warm water .

2. PUMPKIN, HONEY AND MILK FACIAL PACK

Pumpkin is enriched with vitamin A, vitamin C and potassium that have vital anti ageing and moisturising effects on the skin. Honey and milk hydrate and nourish the derma and keep it infection free. Thus this facial pack relieves the skin of dehydration and dullness and makes it soft, supple, youthful and bright.

Procedure:

Slice away the healthy flash from a pumpkin, after removing the seeds, and blend it in a food processor to form a smooth puree. Combine 2 tsp of this fresh pumpkin puree, 1/2 tsp honey and 1/2 tsp of milk to form a smooth paste. Apply this paste evenly all over a clean face and allow it to dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Then rinse the face with luke warm water.

3. KIWI AND YOGURT FACE MASK

The powerful antioxidants present in kiwi helps to eliminate dermal tan while also giving a healthy radiance to the skin. The rich lactic acid content of yogurt renders anti ageing, cleansing, moisturising and sun protective benefits to the skin. This face pack is thus effective in cleansing, hydrating, revitalising and rejuvenating the derma and improving the skin tone and texture.

Procedure:

Blend 1 kiwi in a food processor to make a puree. Take this puree in a bowl and add a spoonful of fat-rich yogurt and mix well. Massage this paste on the skin for 20 minutes before rinsing it away with warm water.
